About Ledgeburg
Ledgeburg is a free financial data platform covering US-listed stocks, ETFs, and funds. It provides financial statements, filings data, and market information sourced directly from SEC EDGAR — with no paywalls, no account requirements, and no advertising.
Why Ledgeburg exists
Financial data has an accessibility problem. The numbers investors actually need are all in SEC filings — every line item, every footnote, production volumes, charter rates, segment detail — but in practice they're either buried in hundred-page documents or aggregated behind expensive terminals.
What's freely available is usually a thin summary, standardized by a commercial data vendor until it no longer matches what companies actually filed.
Ledgeburg takes a different approach: go straight to the source. Every financial statement on this site is built from the structured XBRL data companies file with the SEC, presented as filed under GAAP — not reclassified, not remapped to a vendor's template.
If a company reported it, that's the number you see. You can read more about how this works, and why our figures sometimes differ from other platforms', on our Data Sources page.
Who's behind it
Ledgeburg is built and operated by Samuel Pettersson, a Swedish developer. It's an independent product — no data vendor licenses, no investor mandates shaping what gets built — which is precisely what makes the as-filed approach possible: the site answers only to the filings and to the people using it.
What it costs
Nothing. The underlying SEC data is public domain, and Ledgeburg's aim is to keep the primary record of company financials freely accessible in usable form. The site currently runs no ads and sells no data.
