Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

Ledgeburg ("we", "us") operates ledgeburg.com, a free financial data website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, we don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising or tracking networks.

Who we are

Ledgeburg is operated by Samuel Pettersson, based in Stockholm, Sweden. For any privacy matter, contact contact@ledgeburg.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

If you just browse. Ledgeburg currently has no user accounts — you can use the entire site without registering, and we collect no names, email addresses, or account information.

When you visit, our infrastructure providers process standard technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages requested, and timestamps.

This happens in server logs (Vercel, our hosting provider) and in our error- and performance-monitoring tool (Sentry), which receives reports when something breaks or loads slowly so we can fix it.

Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It is cookieless: it does not set tracking cookies, does not identify individual visitors, and does not follow you across other websites. We see aggregate counts, not people.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

Legitimate interests — processing technical data (IP addresses, browser information, error reports) to keep the site secure, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse, and processing aggregate, cookieless analytics to understand how the site is used.

We've judged this to have minimal privacy impact: no individual profiles are built and no data is shared for advertising.

Consent — we currently don't rely on consent for anything, because we don't do the things that require it (marketing emails, tracking cookies, profiling). If that ever changes, we'll ask first.

What processes data on our behalf

We use a small set of service providers, each processing data only on our instructions: Vercel (website hosting and delivery), Railway (backend hosting), Neon (database hosting), Upstash (caching), and Sentry (error and performance monitoring).

Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU's approved transfer mechanisms.

We also disclose data if legally required to — for example under a court order — or to protect the rights, safety, or security of the site and its users.

How long we keep it

Server logs, error reports, and analytics data are retained on short rolling windows set by our providers (typically 30–90 days for logs and error data) and then deleted automatically. We don't maintain long-term archives of visitor data.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

We extend the same access, correction, and deletion rights to all users worldwide regardless of location.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@ledgeburg.com. We'll respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Children

Ledgeburg is not directed at children, and we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone — child or adult — beyond the technical data described above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way — for example, because we add a new service that processes personal data — we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes affecting account holders will be communicated more directly.
