Cookie Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
The short version: Ledgeburg does not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies — and no cookie consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser, typically used to remember who you are between visits or to track your activity across the web. Under EU law, most cookies require your prior consent — which is why so many websites greet you with a consent pop-up.
Why we don't have them
Ledgeburg is designed to work without them: No accounts (currently). The site is fully usable without registration, so there is no login session to maintain.
Cookieless analytics. We measure site usage with Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate without setting cookies, without identifying individual visitors, and without following you to other websites.
No advertising. We run no ads, no marketing pixels, and no social media trackers, so none of the cookie machinery that supports those exists here.
What we use instead
To make pages load faster, Ledgeburg stores previously fetched financial data in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB).
This is not a cookie and is not tracking: the data stays on your device, is never transmitted back to us, and contains market data rather than anything about you. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings, at no cost beyond slightly slower page loads until the cache rebuilds.
If this changes
If we introduce features that require cookies — for example, user accounts, which need a session cookie to keep you signed in — we will update this policy first.
Strictly necessary cookies (the kind required for a feature you've requested, like staying logged in) do not require consent under EU law, and we will describe them here when they exist. If we ever introduce cookies that do require consent, we will ask before setting them.
